I have been in private practice as a therapist and counselor for over 25 years, and have helped people with a large range of concerns, in a setting that is safe and supportive. I work with clients in an interactive and flexible way, based on the individual and his or her needs.

My goals are to help you:
develop a greater understanding of yourself and the nature of the problem that brings you in
build on your existing strengths
learn new tools for resolution of the issues
find a greater sense of peace and well-being

Clients come in with a variety of concerns. These include emotional distress such as sadness, depression or anxiety; relationship issues; coping with illness; important life decisions; difficulty at work; and the desire to learn more about themselves.

I work with people from many different backgrounds. I have particular experience working with couples, people coping with illness or loss, gays and lesbians, students, educational faculty and staff, and minorities. My own family includes a husband, college age son, young adult daughter, and an elderly dog.
